Kindergarten students were excited to celebrate a very special day on Friday...the wedding of Q & U! They pledged to be together forever and always make the /kw/ sound❤️











KD is “EGGcited” to kick off spring! During centers this week, students cracked eggs to build and write words, painted with qtips, completed a STEM challenge, explored magnetic eggs, and counted numbers on chick cards.









Mrs. Willard’s second graders created a cloud in a jar. The more droplets added to the cloud, the more it rained. The kids were surprised how many droplets it took to rain!







If your child will be 5 years old by August 1, 2024, and is not pre-enrolled, the pre-enrollment steps for kindergarten are as follows: 1. Contact the school of residence to obtain a pre-enrollment form Shipshewana 768-4158 Topeka 593-2897 Meadowview 768-7702 2. Return the enrollment form to the school as soon as possible 3. Parents will receive a SEEK Screening schedule in the Spring 4. SEEK Screening will be at the student’s school of residence near the end of the 23-24 school year. Out-of-district parents should contact the school they wish to enroll their child.

This week, the students of KD explored and created 3D shapes. This hands on activity with Play-Doh and toothpicks helped the students visualize and identify shape attributes including edges, vertices, and sides.





Happy Birthday, Mr. Mike! KD paged him to the office, gave him a card, sang Happy Birthday, and clapped 60 times!

4th grade students who participated in an optional reading assignment were treated to a game of Fast Break as a reward.




3B students played an intense game of HORSE against Officer Jackie and Mrs. Helmuth as a reward for winning the "Tuesday Trivia" contest! It was a split decision with 3B winning one game and Officer Jackie winning another! 🏀🏀
