Mid-Term Grades will be coming home today with your student.

This past Friday, Westview's PLUS students traveled to Camp Potawotami. Juniors and Seniors in PLUS (Partners Linking Understanding for Success) are paired up with students in grades K-6 from each elementary school. The students met their mentors and spent the day at Camp Potawotami creating memories and getting to know each other.



A letter informing you of our Parent Teacher Conference structure for this school year(Mon 10/16 & Tue 10/17) was sent home today with your student. A copy of the letter can also be found on our website.

For anyone looking to purchase a copy of the 22-23 yearbook (includes photos from grades 7-12), there are a limited number of copies for sale in the front office of the Jr-Sr High School for $55 each.


Congratulations to the National Rural and Small Town Award winners! In August, the College Board awarded students across the country with academic honors through their annual National Recognition Programs. These awards recognize high-performing students who excel academically on College Board assessments.
The criteria for selection include a minimum 3.5 GPA, assessment scores within the top 10% in each state or a score of 3 or higher on 2 or more AP exams in 9th and 10th grade, and attend school in a rural area or small town.


Westview Jr-Sr High School earned a high National ranking in 2023-2024 Best High Schools, according to a recent U.S. News release. Westview ranked in the top 20% of both the state and the nation. As the adage goes, "It takes a village." Thank you, Westview staff and community, for all you do.


Westview Staff and their families were treated to a picnic on August 25th to celebrate the new school year. Thank you to the sponsors, Blue Gate Restaurant and Shipshewana Trading Place. Come support the Westview Booster Club by joining us for the Color Run! On September 22, Jr High and High School students will have the opportunity to run/walk during their 6th and 7th periods. The public is welcome to join from 4-7. Food trucks and lawn games will be available during that time as well. Cost is $20 and participants will receive a t-shirt and sunglasses to wear during the event.


If you drive to school, you are required to have a parking pass each year. You can pick up the form in the front office. The cost is $1.

Reminder that Mondays are late start days. Classes begin at 8:50 for grades 7-12. Make sure you are in your Success classroom before that time.

Registration is now open for all students planning to attend Westview School Corporation for the 2023-24 school year. Westview has online registration available for all returning students. You may also stop by your student's school building to register in person. All new students need to register in person at the school building they plan to attend. If your child is doing a fall sport, this is a reminder they need to have a physical before they can start any practice, they will not be allowed to practice until their physical has been turned in to the Athletic Office. Physical forms are in the admin. office this week or next week if you stop by the high school, the front office will be open and they will also have physical forms. For grades 9-12 you will NEED TO BE on FINAL FORMS. Instructions for FINAL FORMS on the Westview Athletics Page. (westview.k12.in.us/o/westview-jr-sr-hs/page/high-school-athletics). Congratulations to Silas Haarer on an incredible finish to his sophomore season at the IHSAA golf State Championship. Silas finished 2nd place and shot -6 (66) yesterday, the 4th lowest score in State tournament history, and the lowest round of either day in the two-day tournament. On day 1, he shot a 75. Overall, he had an impressive 12 birdies and 1 eagle. Silas was also named All-State. Well done, Silas!
