Thirty three new members were inducted into the Joy Krug chapter of National Junior Honor Society last Friday evening. The chapter, under the leadership of Mrs. Audrey Arnold, now has 52 members. To be considered for NJHS, students must maintain a 3.5 or higher GPA, not have any discipline issues and demonstrate good character, service, leadership, citizenship, and scholarship. Last year's members raked leaves in Shipshewana and Topeka, engaged in fundraising efforts that benefited Westview students and were leaders in the #StompOutBullying initiative. Mrs. Arnold is looking forward to this year's group and said, "They are motivated and there are a lot of them. The number of students in this NJHS chapter is a testament to what a great community we live in. It will be a fun year for them AND me."
Congrats to all of the new members!
