Westview Jr/Sr High School Spanish teacher, Mrs. Krystal Booth, was named the 2019 LaGrange County Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year. Booth was nominated by her students and chosen out of a pool of 43 candidates. Westview junior, Mary Hostetler, stated, "Mrs. Booth is genuinely concerned about our well-being and makes learning engaging." High school principal, Rich Cory, commented, "We were so excited when one of our own students came back to teach here. Mrs. Booth has been such a bright spot for Westview."
Mrs. Booth is a 2010 graduate of Westview and earned her teaching degree at IPFW. When asked her thoughts about winning the prestigious award, she stated, "I am beyond thankful because a lifelong dream has come true."
