Following a similar process to the 5th grade, our 6th grade Art students did monochromatic paintings of a forest. Students created a sense of depth in their forests by overlapping trees, making trees larger in the foreground and smaller in the background. They also made distant trees more pale and faded looking compared to the trees in front.
The 6th Grade featured Artist for the ‘Atmospheric Forest’ project is Sophie Brown from 6D. Sophie successfully met all the criteria of color, size, and overlapping. She also constructed a unique looking tree style that was intriguing to look at. Congratulations, Sophie!
