Prior to Christmas Break the 6th Grade Art Classes finished work on some abstract paintings. The paintings were a composition made up with lines and circles. They imitated an abstract design style called Orphism. The students used a ruler and compass to design their geometric composition. Once the design was made, students used primary and secondary colors to experiment with color relationships and tried to create an interesting image.
Bryton Barton from 6E was selected by Mr. Keiser to be the next featured artist for the 6th grade. Bryton’s own unique painting style really stood out in this project. Although each student’s composition consisted of similar lines and circles, the way in which he applied his paint was truly unique.
Congratulations Bryton!
