For Red Ribbon Week 2018, Westview Elementary focused on how you can get a "Natural High" instead of doing drugs. A Natural High can be helping others, playing sports, singing, or being creative. Videos produced by the Natural High campaign featuring celebrities talking about adversities they've faced and drug influences they've been exposed to all while keeping a "Natural High" were shown to the kids throughout the week. Along with Red Ribbon Week, we have been focusing on bullying and how to know what bullying is and how to report it. We wanted to encourage kids to get to know their classmates and to think positively about one another. This Friday to wrap up our lessons, the kids were able to write on "High Five Hands" something nice about one of their classmates and those will be hung on the walls for all to see. Then they were able to sign a poster with their "Natural High" as well as take a pledge to be Drug and Bully Free. They received a bookmark with the pledge on it and could sign it as a reminder of that pledge
