In their latest project, the 6th graders have been using Value to create a 3 dimensional weave pattern on paper. By using the shade method of blending, they worked to create a smooth gradation from dark to light tones. They finished off their projects by designing their own colorful background that used value as well.
Mr. Keiser has selected Marla Kay Miller as the featured artist for the weave design. Marla had wonderful areas of dark and light shadows that gave her drawing a sense of realism. She creatively combined various colors for her background that gave the piece a pleasing appearance.
You can see her project in the main hall along with all the other featured artists from this year.
