The 6th grade class recently completed work on a design project using their first name. Students tried to make their name in a comic book style. Students used block, bubble, or 3D styles for their letters. They accented their name with one large shape that went around their name. They also used smaller decorative shapes in the space outside the name. The letters and background were filled in with colored pencils and art sticks. Students used changes in value and invented textures to fill in the letters.
Mr. Keiser has selected Derek Yoder from 6A as the featured artist in this project. Derek’s letters were large, rich in color and was very successful in the coloring techniques. Excellent work, Derek!
