KA made their own tie dye shirts today!

Kindergarten also took a field trip today as well! They went to the Topeka library and did a library scavenger hunt during the tour of the library and listened to the story Elmer by David McKee, then colored their own colorful elephant to go along with the story. Afterwards they walked to the park, had some popsicles, and spent some time playing!










Today was a busy day at Topeka! To celebrate the end of ILEARN, 3rd grade went to the bowling alley and 4th grade went roller skating!

Last Friday, Topeka celebrated their kindergartners with a celebration! Congratulations on (almost) finishing your first year here at TES!










Mrs. Chavis handed out staff awards this afternoon at our staff meeting! Staff members voted for eachother for these fun awards!









1st graders, 2nd graders and 3rd graders celebrated quarter 4 awards yesterday! Student council did a great job running the awards ceremony again!










The ARK Animal Sanctuary came to visit the 1st graders. The 1st graders presented them a check for $329.35. They made and sold cookies each month to help raise money for the ARK!



Following the picnic was our staff vs 4th grade kickball game! Each team took home a win, with the 4th graders winning game 1 and the staff winning game 2! Great job to everyone!










Today was our annual Topeka picnic! The weather was perfect for students and their families to eat lunch and play at recess! Thanks to our cafeteria and office staff for a great day!




Tomorrow begins our 10 day countdown to the last day of school! First up- Topeka spirit wear!

3rd grade also had a busy day today! This morning they walked to the Topeka Historical Society where they got to see neat artifacts and hear more about Topeka's history. Later in the afternoon, they had their annual egg drop-- such creative contraptions!









Mr. Parks's class hosted a 'reading cafe' for families, students and staff today!

The Westview Jazz Band and Sing-sations visited Topeka this afternoon! A few Topeka bears even got to help with a performance! What an entertaining afternoon!






Nicole Brown from Alpha Vet and Stuart Bender, Fire Chief, joined classes today as the guest readers for Children's Book Week!







3A enjoyed their pretzels from the PTO-- they had the most sales from the pretzel pocket fundraiser this spring! Nice work 3A, and thank you to our PTO!



2nd grade enjoyed a field trip to Merry Lea today!
