4th graders wrapped up CKLA Unit 1-Personal Narratives with an author's cafe! Students got to read the narratives their classmates wrote while enjoying a special drink and treat from 'Starbucks'!

In honor of their CKLA study on Ancient Greek Civilization, 2A hosted a mini Olympics that began with a parade of nations! They kicked off the competition with discus throwing, continued with chariot racing, and ended with a foot race. The students received gold, silver and bronze medals. After their competition, they went inside to try olives 🫒.

👉 What’s the role?
This instructor will guide students in the Industrial Electrical Maintenance pathway, helping them gain hands-on experience with electrical systems, safety practices, troubleshooting, and the technical skills needed to succeed in today’s workforce. They will also work directly with our industry partners to provide students with real-world learning opportunities and to strengthen the connection between education and local employers.
👉 Who can apply?
We are specifically seeking candidates with an Industrial Electrical Maintenance background. A traditional teaching license is NOT required – industry professionals can qualify through a Workplace Specialist license; your experience and desire to mentor students matter most!

4th graders at Topeka held their fourth annual Market Day today. As part of their social studies unit, students had to create a business and choose a product to sell to the rest of the school.
The students were in charge of picking the price, the quantity of items they wanted to sell, and creating a poster advertising their business. We had bakeries, woodworking shops, artists, and many more. The other students in the school were able to purchase their items with pretend money. We have a lot of creative fourth graders at Topeka!
