On December 19, 2024, Lt. Jackie Conwell was presented a Medal of Merit by Dr. Miller and Westview Police Chief Ed Flowers. Lt. Conwell was awarded this medal for distinguishing herself through dedicated selfless service to the Westview School, the Westview Police Department, and surrounding police agencies. From March to November 2024 Lt. Conwell assumed additional duties for school safety, female student self-defense classes, and instructed officers from other police departments. Lt. Conwell's performance is in keeping with the finest traditions of police and police officers.
